Welcome back!  I hope everyone had a restful Spring Break.  We are in the last 9 weeks of school! I am always is shock when I think how fast the year goes.  The last quarter means 3 things:  1.  I-SAT testing.  2.  RAD (Race Against Drugs) performance  3.  Science Fair (May 1st)  Packet info was sent home but can also be found under Science Tab on the blog.  Listed below are the dates for these and more:

For the week of March 15th - 19th

There are big happenings this week in 5th grade and it is also a short week so there will be no spelling test.  

Please mark your calendars for:

Thursday, March 19th
5th Grade State Fair Open House - Come see all the hard work the class has put in studying about our wonderful States.  Bring family and friends to our classroom (H-2) anytime from 1pm until 2:45pm.  Hope to see you all then!  You are also welcome to take your child home right after the State Fair.  Please just sign out at the office.  All projects must be taken home on Thursday or they will be recycled. 


March 20th has been proclaimed Anthony Moretti Day by the Middleton and Caldwell Mayors. Since we are not in school on this special day, please join us Thursday, March 19, 2015 in wearing ALL NAVY blue in honor of this young man's perseverance, courage, and strength. Students may donate a dollar towards the Saint Jude's Children's Hospital or participate for free. (No Hair dye, leggings, or face makeup- all modesty rules apply) 

Friday, March 20th - Sunday, March 29th
Spring Break - Enjoy and rest up!  Be thinking about your Science Fair Project!! Packets going home this week.

For the week of March 9th - 13th

The count down to spring break has begun!  There is still a lot to accomplish before our week off.  Please use this list to help keep your student on task and on time.  :)


Monday, March 9th
1.  Skate Night at the Nampa Roller Drome from 6-8pm

Wednesday, March 11th
1.  Debate/Opinion writing due.  This weeks topic is whether it is okay for stores to use technology to watch our shopping habits.

 Friday, March 13th
1.  Spelling Test
2.  Books sent off to be published.  If your student doesn't finish there book by Friday at 3:30 pm, they will not have a book published.  I am shipping books off after school.  Please be hounding them about finishing their pictures/story.


Saturday/Sunday
1.  Finish/Start State Fair Display board.  It is due Thursday, March 19th.
