Happy Thanksgiving . . .and for the week of November 30th - December 4th

I hope you all will have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving.  I realize a lot of you travel, so be careful  on those winter roads and enjoy your families and friends.  I also know that is post is a week early but I have family coming in as well and want to spend time with them.  :)

PS  We WON the canned food drive . ..by 5 cans!  Thank you for donating and helping numerous families during this holiday season.

Up Coming Reminders:

1.  November Reading Calendars will be due no later than Wednesday, December 9th

2.  Nov 30th - December 4th is a 5 day week.

3.  Spelling Test - Friday, December 4th

4.  Zoo Project will be due Wednesday, December 16th.
If you haven't heard about the Zoo project yet, let me fill you in.  This project combines engineering, math, science, design, making, reading and building from blueprints into a small model zoo.  95% of the project is done in class.  The only part done at home, is the building of the zoo.  I will be sending home and posting directions after Thanksgiving.  Please know, I want the students to be resourceful for this project and use what you already have.  In the past, projects have been built with Lego's, virtually via Minecraft, with construction paper, with recycled water bottles, with rice crispy treats and cheap candy etc.  No one should go spend more than $5.00 for the construction of this zoo.  The students should build this, with minimal help from parents.

5.  Elementary Christmas program - Thursday, December 17th
6pm at the Nampa 1st Church of the Nazarene on the corner of 16th ave and 7th St.
