Last Week of 5th Grade!

It is hard to believe that this year is nearly over!   It has gone by so fast.  
Here is what you can expect this week:


Monday, May 22nd
Big RAD performance at the Vision Gym at 7pm

Tuesday, May 23rd
Science Fair.  Please have students bring projects to school that morning.  I will have all projects judged by 3:30. 
Classrooms will be open from 3:30-5:00 p.m. to view Science Fair projects.  Everything else will be open from 3:30-6 p.m.  FREE: Math Carnival Games! Bounce House!

BINGO!  $1 per game, $20 for unlimited games.  Prizes and gift cards for winners!

Carnival Rides, Chrome Book Raffle Tickets,  and Face Painting - $1 each

Sno Cone Shack will be open from 3:30-6 p.m.

The Class of 2018 will be offering a hot dog/chili dog meal during Science Night for $5/meal.  They will be serving Costco dogs and homemade chili with a small bag of chips and drink choice.

ROCK BAND will be performing near the basketball court from 5-6pm!

Wednesday, May 24th
 4-6th graders will have field day from 8:30 - 10:30.  I am still in need of at least 1 parent volunteer.  Please click the link below to sign up.
We will be doing the end of school year auction too.  :)

Thursday, May 25th
Last Day of School!  There will be an awards ceremony from 9:30 - 10:15. I will then be hosting a Nacho Party from 12:00 - 1:00.  We will clean desks and locker from 1:00 - 1:45.  Report cards will be sent home with students that day.

The last 2 weeks of this school year . . .

Where did the year go?  It is hard to believe that it is almost over!  Here is what you can expect for the next 2 weeks:

Monday, May 15th
Last day of testing!!! Today we take our Reading Map Test.

Tuesday, May 16th
Taco Truck and Pizza $ due.

Wednesday, May 17th
Pizza day

Thursday, May 18th
Senior's last day

Friday, May 19th
No School - Vision High School Graduation

For the week of May 8th - 12th

T-minus 3 weeks and counting . . ..

Here's the scoop for this week:

Monday, May 8th
Field Trip Day!!  

  1. The bus leaves at 8:15.  
  2. We will have our cooking/science class and then picnic at the park behind the Village around 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.  
  3. We are scheduled to get back to school around 1ish.  
  4. Make sure to dress for the weather ( who knows what that could be . .. snow, rain, sun?) 
  5. Anyone with long hair, please tie back.
  6. Bring a picnic style lunch and water bottle.  If you have hot lunch, one will be provided for you.  Still bring a water bottle. 
Tuesday, May 9th
Pizza $ due.   Last potion of the Math I-SAT. It starts at 8:30 and will be done before lunch.
Please make sure your student is the following:
1.  Well rested
2.  Well fed
3.  Well hydrated
4.  Students may bring extra brain food to help.  Small snacks like crackers and cheese will be supplied.

Thursday, May 11th

Friday, May 12
Science Fair Day and Carnival
1.   All students will turn in a project.
2.  Projects need to arrive with students in the morning.
3.  We will be presenting in class.
4.  The actual Carnival starts at 3:30 and goes until 7pm.  Students may not stay on campus from 3:00 - 3:30 without an adult.  There isn't supervision.
5.  There will be rides, games, food and prizes. :)
