For the Week of January 5th-9th

Welcome Back!  Can you believe how fast time flies?  We are only 2 weeks away from the end of second quarter.  February, 13th from 8am to 8pm will be Parent-Teacher conferences.  I look forward to seeing you so we can go over what you can expect for the rest of the year:  In order to help your student be prepared for 6th grade, you are going to start seeing homework several nights a week.  Please be looking at your student's agenda.  This will help.  Students will still be expected to read 30 minutes a night, 5 nights a week.  In a few weeks, we will be starting our State Fair project, the research portion of the project will be done in class, the display board will need to be completed at home.  More information will be sent home in February.  Start thinking about a science fair project too!  Science Fair maybe in May, but  if you are going to be working with plants or training animals, now is the time to start.

As for this week:  December Reading Calendar's are due Wednesday 1/7 for full credit.
