For the week of December 15th - 19th

Hello all!  Welcome to the last week of the school for this year.  ;)    Here are a couple of reminders to help keep your student on track for this week.

1.  Zoo Project Deadlines
     a.  Trifold brochure or Zoo questions  due Thursday.
     b.  Zoo 3-D project due Friday morning by 8:10

2.  Zoo Walk Through Tour
     a.  This will be open to the parents and other classrooms from 9 - 10:20 am.


3.  Keep track of your December reading minutes.  Please note, as a small Christmas gift, I did not      make students have to read over break but there are still minutes due.

4.  Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest
     K-12^th grade students and staff are invited to enter our “Ugly Sweater” contest this upcoming Friday, December 19^th.   If the sweater is worn over your uniform there is no cost. If you wear jeans or out of uniform it is a $1 donation. All school modesty and appropriateness rules apply. 

5.  Class Christmas Party
     a.  Our class party will take place on Friday, December 19th from 11:15 - 12:40.  I will be setting up a build your own hot cocoa bar.  If you would like to donate to the party, I am still in need of 32 cups, cinnamon, 30 candy canes and 2 more cans of spray whip cream.  Just send me an email if you can send an item.  Thanks to those who already offered to donate.  :)  Parents are welcome to come in and hang out at this time.  

    b.  Our afternoon will be spent at my Christmas auction.  I have been buying the students presents since September to spend their class cash on.  It is an auction and the presents go to the highest bidder.  If you have a slightly used but new looking toy, game or ball you would like to get rid of, I would gladly put it in the auction.  Please do not go buy anything.  I am just looking at garage sale type items you don't want.  

6.  ELEMENTARY CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: 
The all elementary Christmas program for kindergarten through fifth grade students, "The Jingle Bell Jukebox: The Flipside", will be Tuesday, December 16th at Jewett Auditorium starting at 7:00 p.m. and doors will open at 6:15.  Students need to arrive and be in place by 6:45.  Students may dress up in Christmas outfits.  Regular school modesty rules apply.  Please do not wear Christmas hats.  Directions to Jewett Auditorium will be coming home soon.
